Stevia leaf extract is extracted from stevia rebaudiana leaves through water extraction and purification. Stevia extract is white powder with no calories, no additives, soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol.Stevia leaf extract powder is a natural sweetener with 250-450 times sweetness of sucrose. The main compounds that produce sweetness are steviol glycosides, mainly stevioside and rebaudioside. Our main products of stevia leaf extract are stevioside 90%-95% and rebaudioside A (RA, or Reb A) 80%-99%.
Application
`Stevioside is widely used in food industry as food sweetener. It is used to produce high sweetness, low calorie, low salt and anti caries food.
`According to GB2760-1996, stevioside can be used in candies, cakes, beverages, solid drinks, fried snacks, candied fruits, preserved fruits, condiments, soft ice cream, and medical accessories. The amount of stevioside used shall be appropriate according to the production needs.
`Used as food sweetener, especially suitable for hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, dental caries, etc
